Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
Welcome to Setso. These terms govern your use of the Setso platform, operated by Setso B.V. (“Setso”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the Netherlands (KvK: [number]), with its registered office at [address], Amsterdam.
By creating an account or using Setso, you agree to these terms. If you're using Setso on behalf of a production company or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
1. Your Account
You need an account to use Setso. When you create one, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
Each person should have their own account. Production companies can have multiple users on a single production — but sharing login credentials isn't allowed.
You can delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us at support@setso.com.
2. What You Can Do
Setso gives you tools to plan, manage, and report on film and TV productions. With an active account, you can:
- Create and manage productions, schedules, and call sheets
- Invite cast, crew, and collaborators to your productions
- Collect end-of-day data from your team
- Generate sustainability and compliance reports
- Export your data at any time in standard formats
3. What You Can't Do
To keep Setso safe and reliable for everyone, you agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use Setso to store, transmit, or distribute illegal or harmful content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform
- Use automated tools to access Setso without our written permission
- Resell or sublicense access to Setso
If we believe you're violating these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account after giving you reasonable notice where possible.
4. Your Content & Data
You own your production data. Setso does not claim ownership of any content you create, upload, or import into the platform — including schedules, call sheets, crew lists, scene breakdowns, and sustainability data.
We need a limited license to host, display, back up, and process your data in order to provide the service. This license exists only for that purpose and ends when you delete your data or close your account.
When you cancel your account, you'll have a 30-day grace period to export your data. After that, your production data will be permanently deleted from our systems. Some anonymized, aggregated data (such as platform usage statistics) may be retained — but this can never be linked back to you or your productions.
For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
5. Inviting Others to Your Productions
When you invite cast, crew, or collaborators to a production on Setso, they'll receive an invitation to create an account or join using their existing one. By inviting someone, you confirm that you have a legitimate reason to share production information with them (for example, they're working on the production).
Invited users can only see information relevant to their role — their call times, their scenes, their department details. They cannot access the full production schedule or other users' personal data unless you grant them broader permissions.
6. Service Availability
We work hard to keep Setso available and reliable, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Occasional maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause temporary interruptions.
We'll notify you in advance of planned maintenance whenever possible. We're not liable for losses caused by service interruptions, data transmission delays, or issues with third-party services we integrate with.
7. Billing & Cancellation
If you're on a paid plan, your subscription is billed monthly or annually, as selected during sign-up. Prices are listed on our website and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel:
- Your access continues until the end of the current billing period
- After that, your account will be downgraded or deactivated
- You'll have 30 days to export your data before it's permanently deleted
We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods, unless required by Dutch or EU consumer protection law.
8. Limitation of Liability
Setso is provided “as is.” While we do our best to deliver a reliable, accurate, and useful service, we make no warranties — express or implied — about the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, Setso B.V. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Setso in the 12 months preceding the claim.
This limitation does not apply in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on our part.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. The updated terms will also be posted on this page with the effective date.
If you continue to use Setso after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you disagree, you can cancel your account before the new terms apply.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Setso will be submitted to the competent courts of Amsterdam.
